Staff, volunteers and residents celebrated the Douglas Murray Home of the Aged’s 49th anniversary last week. Residents were spoilt with sweet treats to commemorate the milestone on Thursday August 30. Board chairperson Mark Killian said the day was special because past and present staff and residents were celebrated. “A few years ago there were talks of Douglas Murray closing its doors because of financial problems but God has been faithful. The facility has a rich history that we must appreciate
and value,” he said. Fred Daniels, the home’s CEO, thanked the staff, volunteers, donors and management for their commitment.
