A group of Lavender Hill senior citizens enjoyed a trip up Table Mountain in the cable car last Thursday, April 18.
Pastor Michelle Arendse, of Lavender Hill, said a friend, Vivien Homeester, who helps prepare sandwiches for the seniors group, called Women of Action, had received the 30 free tickets.
Ms Arendse said the excursion was welcomed with all the shootings and gang violence in the area. “It brings joy to my heart to see them so happy for that moment. I thank God for blessing us with good health.”
