Over 300 women came together to commemorate Women’s Day, on Tuesday August 9, at Capricorn Primary School.
It’s been almost three years since the Vrygrond organisation Where Rainbows Meet could have their annual Women’s Day event because of Covid-19 lockdown restrictions.
Under the theme “Women uplifting women” the attendees were praised for their role in the communities they serve.
The women also received gifts, special best dressed and best dance and they were able to share their personal stories with each other and encouraged each other.
The organisation’s youth and sewing and beading groups also entertained the audience through dance, song and poetry.
