The owners of a Grassy Park store died in a car accident on their way home from a holiday in Sun City on Saturday April 2. Mohamad Parvez and Farieya Parvez owned Cash and Carry in Victoria Road, Grassy Park. Their two youngest children Hadeeka, eight, and Shaariq, 10, died at the accident scene on the R43 between Hermanus and Bot River.
The two older children, 12-year-old Dayiem and 14-year-old Kawish were rushed to hospital. The family are from Rondebosch and the children attended Islamia College in Lansdowne.
They were buried on Sunday April 3, according to Muslim law.
Three people in the other car involved in the accident also died.
